About John
John B. Perry is a Physical Therapist and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from Jackson, Ohio.
John educates and trains clients throughout the world on the 3 areas of fitness. These fitness areas are the mental, physical and financial.
"My program is unique because I look at the body as a linked system. I am training the body and the brain and teaching them to work well together."
Mr. Perry uses a biomechanical approach to training and injury prevention. The skeletal, muscular and nervous systems must work in sync to function efficiently. The client will then have more body control and become more productive in achieving his or her fitness goals.
"My main focus is on using the hips and core to train the brain. The hips are where movement is initiated and forces are dissipated; having good 'hip awareness' and control is the key."
The measuring stick Perry uses is energy levels.
"The key is increasing one's energy level. This will create increased metabolism, productivity, focus, awareness, confidence, and creativity and will decrease stress and fatigue throughout your day; thus, the 3 areas of fitness."
Thousands of clients were surveyed and 2 overwhelming fitness questions surfaced from the survey.
The first was "How do I find time to exercise?" And the second was "How do I afford the home equipment or afford the gym fees?"
"In my Book and DVD, Hip To Be Fit!, I address these questions and many more."
This is a "big bang for your fitness bucks" program. It can be done in a short amount of time, virtually anywhere and with little to no equipment.
The program even includes flexibility, nutrition and aerobic routine principles and strategies.
Perry currently markets information in video, audio, e-book and article formats. He has teleseminars and live seminars on the topics of health and wealth.
John has been a health professional for over 15 years. He has conducted extensive research and field experiments over this time to develop his current fitness philosophy.
John has been mentored by and worked with some of the leading health and fitness professionals in the business. "Vern Gambetta and Gary Gray are the reason I am doing what I am doing in the fitness arena today. I cannot say enough great things about these men."
John just completed a fellowship program with the Gray Institute for Functional Transformation and is now a Fellow of Applied functional Science as a result of completing this program.
"As children we move very efficiently, but as we age we start to develop poor movement habits."
"My programs are designed to re-set the system for success!"
John trains clients from soccer moms to professional athletes to sedentary office workers.
"Most of my "business" clients are the seminar, teleseminar and home-study course clients. They like learning from the comfort of their home and from their computer."
"My on-site clients are businesses, as well as high school, college and pro-teams. I do live consultations at these businesses and at the college and professional level.
"It does not matter who I am dealing with, the principles stay the same;
- Train the body as it is designed to move
- Work through the butt to the brain
- Load and explode through the available range of motion
- Work in multiple planes of motion
- Train based on what the body needs to accomplish
- and feed the body the proper fuel to get those objectives met"
John has been happily married to Michelle for 14 years; they have two children, Kendra, 9 and Courtney, 5. The family enjoys outdoor sports and recreation and imitating "American Idol" at home.
